Cerexa to Present at BIO InvestorForum 2006

ALAMEDA‚ Calif.‚ October 16‚ 2006 – Cerexa, Inc. today announced that Dennis G. Podlesak, Chief Executive Officer, will present at the BIO InvestorForum 2006 on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California. Mr. Podlesak will provide a brief corporate overview and discuss the company’s lead product candidate, Ceftaroline, including positive top-line results from the recently completed Phase 2 study of Ceftaroline for the treatment of complicated skin infections.

Ceftaroline acetate is a member of the cephalosporin class of antibiotics, the most frequently prescribed class of antibiotics in the world. In preclinical studies and clinical trials to date, Ceftaroline demonstrated a favorable safety profile, similar to that of existing cephalosporins.
